Vintage pink cotton pearl necklace, three strand, chunky choker, with plastic faux pearls, made in Japan.
In very good preowned vintage condition for its age, 1960s.
This is a combination of plastic pearls and "cotton pearls" (compressed cotton balls, with a pearl-like coating).
I restring vintage necklaces, when the strands need it. This way, they will last many more years, and you can wear them with confidence!
I restrung this necklace--all beads are original, and in the same order.
You may notice that some of the silver tone spacer beads vary in number between the "pearls"; this is because some of the cotton pearls have very deep indentations, and the extra beads balance the spacing of the larger beads.
This is how it was originally strung, so I kept it that way.

Choker is approximately 14" long, with a 2" extender chain--mannequin photos show how the necklace is worn.
